The Atlantis will offer the special rate of $59.00/night for one week before and one week after the scheduled reunion dates. The hotel provides a no cost shuttle service to and from Reno Airport and will also provide shuttles from the bus terminal and Amtrak station.
Optional tours and activities planned for the reunion include:
Thursday, early arrival afternoon shopping trip to Scheels and Cabelas. Thursday evening Dinner Cruise on beautiful Lake Tahoe, Emerald Bay. Friday, all day tour of Carson City, Genoa (Ft Mormon Station) and Virginia City. Friday evening a deviation from our usual schedule we will hold the 31st Infantry Regiment Association Memorial Service in the late afternoon after our all day tour concludes.
Saturday morning is slated for our Annual General Membership Business meeting. A special enticement for this year is a drawing of “grand prizes” for those in attendance. Only those in attendance at the business meeting are eligible for this drawing. Saturday evening the banquet and Shanghai Bowl Ceremony.
Again this year the Association leaders and reunion coordinator have tried to keep costs for the reunion reasonable. Enclosed you will find a registration form; we request that you comply with the attendance commitment and return your registration not later than 19 July, 2010. Your early return facilitates our planning process and allows us to ensure that transportation and admittance tickets are purchased in advance for the optional tours. Please be aware that if you register after the commitment date we may not be able to honor your request for the tours.
